Spun out of the Saltzman laboratory of biomedical engineering at Yale University, the company is leveraging a deep base of knowledge in the use of biodegradable polymers as well as proprietary surface modification technologies to create novel, nano-sized drug delivery platforms. Its founders include W. Mark Saltzman, Ph.D., chair of Yale’s biomedical engineering department, and represent decades of experience in the use of biodegradable polymers for drug delivery.
