Sequoia Pacific Research Company, L.L.C. (SPRC)
| Location: | UT, US | | Speaker: | Paul Clayson & Terry Holmes | | Title: | President & CEO | | Primary Industry: | Agro | | Executive Summary: | SPRC was founded as a Utah company in 2001 to develop, own, license and patent intellectual nanotechnology property. This Nano-IP focus centers on manipulation of nano-scale particulates and/or chemically induced processes to create commercial products having superior characteristics and functionality over existing market solutions. In particular, SPRC has developed technology for natural binding nano-silicates from which multiple disruptive products emerge.
Cutting its teeth on the hydrophobic ash-covered slopes of burned forest fire soils, SPRC has created nanotechnology soil stabilization, soil re-vegetation and dust suppressant products.
The present industry target for SPRC is the huge agricultural industry which continually battles soil erosion and fertility issues. The need to address these issues has been highlighted even more with the growing advent of sustainable renewable green energy sources such as ethanol.
SPRC is working with federal and state governments, with industry leaders and with other research scientists to find answers for the future.
