Executive Summary:	Enable IPC Corporation has a patent pending on a microbattery technology that lowers manufacturing costs, is more powerful than comparable products, and may be smaller than the period at the end of this sentence. Microbatteries (aka solid state or thin film batteries) consist of three basic parts: a cathode, an anode and an electrolyte. The larger the cathode surface area, the more power the microbattery can provide. Major problems with microbatteries include (1) low power level, due to small cathode surface area, and (2) high manufacturing costs. We increase the cathode surface area (and thus, the power capacity) using nanowires. This is done without increasing the dimensions of the microbattery, and it significantly lowers the manufacturing costs. There is substantial market potential for our technology in many applications. We have received some angel-level funding, but remain in the development stage. We have some exciting test results but need to continue development before licensing this technology or providing product to customers. We anticipate R&D completion by late 2007.
