We offer technology which allows high-quality, adherent nanoparticle films to be deposited directly onto surfaces using size-selected nanoparticles down to only 1nm in diameter. This contrasts with chemical production methods in which coatings must be applied with the aid of binders or glue. This direct appproach enhances the activity of nanocoatings enormously and also offers opportunities where organic binders or high-temperature bonding are impossible or problematic.
