Cambridge NanoTech Inc. manufactures atomic layer deposition (ALD) systems for research and development and is global market leader with 60 systems sold. The original goal of the company was to manufacture ALD systems affordable enough for every research lab to own at least one. This goal has largely been accomplished and most highly respected research labs own then. Currently there is a shift in the goal of the company. Due to the large number of new applications that have been created through the research of its customers, an industrial demand is created and CNT intends to respond to this market opportunity by looking into partnering with investors and expanding the company to a global leader in ALD for emerging markets.
