Title:Co-Founder & CEO
Primary Industry:Energy
Executive Summary:Solergy aims to be the market leading manufacturer and supplier of solar systems for electricity and heat generation in commercial, industrial, and apartment buildings at prices competitive with conventional energy sources, even without government subsidies. Within 5 years we expect to be producing at least 100MW at a cost approaching $1/W with revenues ramping up to $130M. Our product is distinguished by high total system efficiency (about 70% combined electric and heat generation). This means that it can uniquely supply significant amounts of energy on rooftops or land with limited area at lower cost. The heat energy can provide hot water, heating, air conditioning, or industrial process heat to serve a variety of applications. The system has a robust industrial design with a 25 year lifetime of safe operation, minimal maintenance and easy integration with building infrastructure. Several strategic partnerships for manufacturing and R&D, capture of critical IP, and deep pocketed private investors reflect the long-term strategy of the founders. The founders have a proven track-record of starting companies with successful exits and bringing complex, high-tech products from concept to sales.
