Synthesis of Novel Curcumin/Tetrahydrocurcumin dimers, monofunctional curcumin/tetrahydrocurcumin analogs and polymers as bioconjugation dyes, for imaging applications, for the treatment of Alzheimer’s, prion disease, the treatment of cancer, and as act

Organization:College of Staten Island, CUNY, NY, US
I.P. Brief:Tumeric (curcumin) has long been known to be effective in the treatment of disease, but it has limited aqueous solubility. Curcumin can be asymmetrically functionalized so that one of the phenols is still active or further to produce a nano-bioconjugate with unique solubility characteristics and increased efficacy in treatment.
Keywords:curcumin, nano, bioconjugates,pharamaceuticals, cosmetics
Primary Industry:cosmetics
Specific Market:Use in anti-cancer, anti-inflammatory, anti-Alzheimers

“A major challenge for both the technology and the financial communities is finding a forum in which all parties can interact and explore possibilities for future innovation. TechConnect was created to fill this void, bringing both sides together under one roof into a setting that ultimately will help significant ground-breaking concepts come to life.”
