Executive Summary:Sporian is a young and aggressive sensors and sensors-subsystems startup company. Sporian develops, markets, manufactures and sells a family of novel sensors, sensor-subsystems, multiple sensor-suites, and sensor data-loggers for government, industrial, energy industry, aero-propulsion, utility and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) who employ sensors. These sensor/sensor-subsystems communicate via wireless and wired interconnects, and they deliver several key features, including very small size, low-power (potentially battery-powered and portable), rugged, tamper-resistant operation. The company owns deep technical, marketing and managerial talent and a strong, differentiated intellectual property and patent base. Sporian is prosecuting a product development roadmap that includes two inter-related product lines: • Physical/environmental multi-sensors (shock, T, RH), trace gas sensors (NOX, CO), waterborne chemical and biological pathogen sensors (natural and threat pathogens). • Ultra-high-temperature and pressure sensors for industrial, energy generation and aero-propulsion applications. The company is developing systems to support its sensor technology which include Zigbee based wireless sensor networks. The technology provides benefits to customers wishing to utilize radio frequency identification, intelligent sensor networks, and machine to man or machine to machine communication to manage a variety of industries.
