The most intelligent solution of the problem of power production growth is the development of environmentally benign power engineering evidently based on hydrogen power.
This is because of hydrogen:
- is an ecologically pure fuel with the greatest specific heat of combustion;
- can substitute any kind of fossil fuel in a wide diversity of applications: in industry, transportation, power engineering;
- is one of the water components on the Earth and its reserves are practically inexhaustible.
A rather attractive procedure applicable for the case is the electrolytic hydrogen production directly from sea water, the conductivity of which is due to soluble salts. For many regions the given technology is preferable & profitable as compared with delivered fossil fuel.
The tentative study of the electrolytic hydrogen evolving process has shown that direct sea water electrolysis can be technically performed and commercially promising for hydrogen and associate products production as a target.
The project objective is development and fabrication of novel, advanced installation for hydrogen production through seawater electrolysis at environmentally benign condition up to commercializing stage.
