Vincent Magnotta is Manager, Corporate Technology Transfer at Air Products and Chemicals, where he manages external technology partnerships globally (licensing-in, joint development agreements, contract R&D, etc.). Technology partners include academia, corporations, and technical institutes. Vincent is also experienced in technology valuation.
Vincent’s entire career has been with Air Products in R&D, product management, commercial development, and technology management. He developed five licensed process technologies, four of which are commercially applied in over 30 installations worldwide. His technical expertise is in advanced materials, electronic materials, and forest products process technology. He has 21 U.S. patents, and has published 72 journal articles and national conference presentations. His 30 years of industrial experience has been approximately split evenly between research and technology management/technology transfer.
Some of his key awards include the AIChE National Chemical Engineering Practice Award (1998), Chemical Engineering’s Kirkpatrick Award (1995-1997), AIChE Fellow (2000), and AIChE National Forest Products Division Award (2000).
Vincent graduated with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Pennsylvania State University in 1974, an M.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Delaware in 1976, and an M.B.A. from Lehigh University in 1988 (emphasis in technology management).
