What is the TechConnect Summit?
The TechConnect Summit is one of the largest multi-sector gathering of technology IP, technology ventures, industrial partners, and investors in the world. The purpose of the Summit is to bring together the world’s top technology transfer offices, companies, and investment firms to locate the most promising technologies and early stage companies from across the globe. All technology and venture presentations are pre-vetted by the TechConnect Advisory Board, which includes more than 40 individuals representing leading universities, companies, and investment firms worldwide. Who attends the TechConnect Summit?
Attendees include, but are not exclusive to: Mid-to-large size companies (research and business development executives), federal and international government agencies, professional services firms, venture capitalists, university TTOs or TLOs, federal laboratories, start-up companies, and investment banking firms. Last year’s attendees represented companies and organizations from North America, South America, Europe, Asia, and Australia.
Who presents at the Summit?
Summit presenters include individuals representing universities, university TTOs and TLOs, research institutions, international research organizations, and start-ups (primarily pre-seed, seed, and early stage). Presenters are looking for funding, partnerships, or a combination of both.
What activities will take place at the TechConnect Summit?
The two-day program will include IP and Venture Presentations, Networking Receptions, Luncheons, and Corporate Needs Panels, which include executives discussing with attendees their company’s technology needs and what they are looking for with regards to technologies. Corporations that plan to present their technology needs at the 2009 Summit include: BASF, Genzyme, Goodrich, Honeywell, Honda, HP, Medtronic, Merck, Sanyo, and many more.

The Summit will be held at the George R. Brown Convention Center, Houston, Texas, U.S.A. Situated right in the heart of downtown Houston, Texas.
Who organizes the TechConnect Summit?
TechConnect is a global technology outreach organization, dedicated to locating the world’s most promising IP and start-up companies across all industries and technology focus areas. TechConnect is founded upon the application of the academic Peer-Review process towards the evaluation of emerging technologies and early stage venture companies.
