| Executive Summary: | EcoArray, Inc. is a genomics company positioned to be the leading supplier of gene chips and related services in the field of environmental toxicology. The power of using gene expression for testing is that it provides information at the molecular level and therefore potentially provides a path of understanding from environmental pollution to human health. We have used our proprietary microarrays to show that our approach is uniquely suited to identifying nanomaterials in the environment and to build a proprietary database of gene biomarkers for nanomaterials. In addition, we have built a reputation as a high quality contract laboratory for work related to microarrays and gene development. We have secured substantial grant funding for proof of principle, as well as support from the Woodrow Wilson Institute and Johnson & Johnson. Though small, we possess the crucial skills in gene discovery, data analysis (bioinformatics) and business development to develop the technology into a successful business. |
