Location:Florida, US
Speaker:Jerome J. Schmitt
Title:President
Primary Industry:Sensors & Microsystems
Executive Summary:NanoEngineering Corporation is commercializing proprietary and patented technology which allows detection and analysis of trace amounts of molecules, nanoparticles, and chemical and biological agents such as viruses. Compared to conventional technologies and instruments, our Differential Mobility Analyzers provide greater sensitivity and improved resolution in a smaller, more portable “package”. The company’s products have broad applicability in life and medical sciences, homeland security and counter-terrorism efforts, and environmental monitoring. A related application is high-throughput size-separation / purification of high-value materials such as emergent nanoparticle pharmaceuticals. The core technology was developed at Yale University; and NanoEngineering Corporation holds an exclusive, world-wide, irrevocable license to issued and pending patents covering the field of use. The company has sold instrument prototypes to pioneering users around the world including, but not limited to, the University of Paris, University of Helsinki, University of Minnesota, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the National Institute of Standard and Technology, and Pacific Northwest National Laboratories. We currently are looking for funding and partnerships to accelerate technology development, expand manufacturing capacity, and transition to aggressive marketing.
