TU Delft and Leiden University to Embark on 51 Million Euro Research Program Dedicated to Nanotechnology

'Nanofront' will observe, monitor and develop novel materials at the atomic level over the next decade

The Ministry of Education, Culture and Science will fund 36 million euro from the ‘Gravity Programme’ of the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO). Both universities are making a joint investment of 15 million euro available for NanoFront. In the release, TU Delft’s Rector Magnificus, Karel Luyben, notes, “NanoFront is a dynamic powerhouse involving the best nano researchers of TU Delft and Leiden University. These are scientists who are international trendsetters at the forefront of their fields…NanoFront will also provide an impulse to encourage up-and-coming talent at the highest level.”
