Stony Brook University researchers develop nanoweb that can capture bed bugs in a non-toxic way

The microfiber web is being commercialized by Fibertrap, a company focused on non-toxic methods of pest control.  The nanoweb was developed at Stony Brook’s Advanced Technology in Sensor Materials (Sensor CAT), a program funded by NYSTAR.  Unlike chemical treatments, the novel microfibers are safe for humans and pets, and can capture other insects as well.
