What are technology/solution areas that you have a primary interest in?
As a pioneer in advanced thermoset chemistries, with a strong background in various technologies, we focus on novel and truly distinctive innovation. We are interested in materials that can enhance our offering in new and novel ways.
level of commercial maturity do you typically look for when making an investment?
We understand that all technology has to start somewhere and we are open to exploring all interesting materials and technologies at whatever stage of development. Early insight into what’s in development is critical in shaping our thinking about what’s next for our existing and future customers. We generally look for ideas beyond proof of concept that can be tied to a clear customer need. We look how we can embed new materials technology to enhance the value of our existing platforms.
describe your firm’s Innovation model and how this model helps to find new innovations.
We have a long history of Innovation at Huntsman. We have built our reputation on understanding customer needs through thinking deeply about their problems and the insights needed to develop material solutions that maximize value. We strive to turn insight into action, listening and learning as we go. We are open to new ideas wherever they come from and look for partners that understand our business model and values.

We are relatively new to the TechConnect Summit. But recognize it gives us an opportunity to meet and evaluate many different types of technologies, from many types of partners, in a very condensed time frame. We are looking to meet with creative, passionate entities that recognize that collaborative partnerships are what moves ideas forward to commercialization and ultimately sustainable business success.
