Rolls-Royce Begins Construction on New Aerospace Manufacturing Facility in Virginia

Facility will be first to be built from the ground-up in the US

Rolls-Royce will make an initial investment of $170 million for the Crosspointe facility, which will focus on manufacturing and testing of aerospace components and products. Over time, the company anticipates investing close to $500 million US and about 500 total jobs created. Crossepoint will also be home to the new Commonwealth Center of Advanced Manufacturing and Center for Aerospace Propulsion Systems. Both centers will be created under a unique higher education partnership founded by the Commonwealth of Virginia, the University of Virginia, Virginia Tech, Rolls-Royce and other partners.
