Iosil Energy makes high-grade silicon for the PV industry
Iosil Energy recycles waste material that is left over when manufacturing solar cells, and turns the waste into a high-purity silicon for reuse. The company originally licensed the technology from NREL, and conducts R&D operations at the National Institute for Nanotechnology in Alberta, Canada. The latest funding round will be used to build a pilot manufacturing plant and lay the groundwork for market introduction. Twelve investors participated in this latest financing round, including BankInvest New Energy Solution and Epic Ventures.
