Illinois Clean Energy Trust Receives Over $1M Grant from DoE

Funding will be used to bring university and research labs’ clean technologies to the commercialization phase
The Clean Energy Trust will be established as a nonprofit as it looks to bring together the scientific community with entrepreneurs who have the business and financial expertise to bring technologies to market. The funding for the Trust will be divided into four university-based programs, which include: seed money, business training, awareness education and sector-specific business development support. The Trust also plans to establish a Clean Energy Business Competition and Clean Energy Boot Camp. Submissions for the Clean Energy Business Competition will open this fall.
