3M Invests in Printed Electronics Company

Through its New Ventures business, 3M makes investment in Printechnologics GmbH

Printechnologics is less than four years old, and has become a leading technology developer for printed electronics. The company’s suite of technologies can enable a range of solutions across business to business and consumer markets. The terms of the deal were not disclosed. 3M New Ventures is chartered with identifying future areas of business and technology that are new to 3M, and makes strategic investments in external companies, including start-up ventures. 3M Ventures’ areas of interest include healthcare, safety & security, and renewable energy.
