University of New Mexico (UNM) Cancer Center Receives Million Dollar Grant for Nanotechnology Training Center

UNM is one of only six centers to receive this grant from the National Cancer Institute (NCI)
The funds will be used to begin a new program for students interested in health and chemical-related sciences, and to parlay those skills into future researchers utilizing nanoscale technologies for cancer detection, diagnosis, and treatment. The grant was funded through the NCI’s Alliance for Nanotechnology in Cancer program. The UNM Cancer Center also received a $1.95 million grant to create a Cancer Nanotechnology Platform Partnership with Sandia National Laboratories.
