Monsanto Joins Forces with Atlas Ventures to Foster Development of New Technologies

Monsanto is looking to increase its innovations in the agricultural and human-health markets

Monsanto and Atlas will work together to scout out new technologies that would be ideal for start-up activity. Atlas Ventures focuses on investing in early-stage medical and technology companies. Both companies will work together to vet technologies, and make mutual decisions on funding start up companies together or individually of one another. In additional to agricultural innovations, Monsanto wants to also focus its energies on the development of informatics, genomics, and biological-research technologies.
