Tokyo Electron and UK’s Nanoco Extend Joint Development Deal for Solar Panels

Both companies came together in 2010, and have completed the first stage of the project with success
Nanoco is a UK company that manufactures cadmium free quantum dots in bulk. The company was founded on research first conducted at the University of Manchester. Using Nanoco’s solar ink, Toyko Electron can print the ink using its techniques to create what both companies believe will be a powerful, low cost solar cell. This second stage of the project will last one year and both parties will focus on improving and refining the novel solar cells performance.
