Program will be funded by a State Energy Sector Partnership Grant, and is geared towards the unemployed seeking to create new business ventures

For 2012, Colorado will provide funding and consulting for aspiring entrepreneurs to start their own business in renewable energy and energy efficiency. The five-day training and consulting program includes an overview of the basics of starting a company, from legal to finance to marketing strategies. All candidates must complete an application and provide documentation for their eligibility to the Colorado Dept. of Labor and Employment. Project funding is 100% provided with American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 grant funds awarded by the U. S. Department of Labor's Employment and Training Administration.
