TechConnect Summit 2010 To Bring Expanded Program and Marketplace Expo to Anaheim, CA

TechConnect is the World’s Largest Commercialization and Corporate Partnering Forum for Emerging Technologies, Including Nano, Clean, and Bio

The 2010 TechConnect Summit will take place June 21-25, 2010, in Anaheim, CA, and will be co-located with NSTI Nanotech and CTSI Clean Technology conferences, which provides attendees with business and networking synergies that one can only find at our event. The Summit provides ideal visibility for technologies and early stage companies to a targeted audience of F1000 corporate business developers and investors. Submissions for the IP and Venture Forums will open this fall.

The annual TechConnect Summit features pre-screened IPs and early stage ventures in the emerging technology space. All submissions are peer-reviewed by an Advisory Committee representing more than 70 individuals representing leading business, academia, and investment organizations. “TechConnect 2009 presented a great opportunity to showcase our technology to an international research community. A number of leads were identified for commercializing technologies being developed at our university,” notes Jaipreet Bindra, Business Development Manager at The University of Western Ontario, and TechConnect Committee member.

The TechConnect program also includes the Corporate Partnering Forum, a great opportunity to hear from F500 business and science development executives about their technology and investment areas of interest. Several F500 companies have already confirmed their participation for 2010 in Anaheim in the Corporate Partnering Forum, including: BP, Dow Chemical, Honda, Lockheed Martin, Medtronic, Merck, Sanyo, Samsung, and Toray.

TechConnect Marketplace Expo June 22-23, 2010
The TechConnect Marketplace Expo has been created for universities, start-up companies, and professional services firms to showcase technologies, prototypes, and services to conference attendees. The 2010 TechConnect Marketplace will double in size from 2009, and become the center point of the main Exhibit Hall focused on corporate partnering and technology matchmaking for attendees. Receptions with F500 executives, expanded Marketplace hours, and discounts for university tech transfer offices that present in the IP Forum are just a few of the new features for 2010.
