In the present work, azole functional silica nanoparticles synthesized and characterized. For the preparation of azole functional SiO2, a two-step method based on hydrolyzed of TEOS was used in this study. The epoxy functional SiO2 nanoparticles modified with azole molcules such as Benzimidazole, imidazole and triazole functional SiO2 nanoparticles via ring opening of the epoxy ring. FT-IR, SEM, TEM and AFM analysis were confirmed the functionalization of SiO2. TGA and DSC were employed to examine the thermal stability and homogeneity of the materials. The thermal and proton conducting properties of materials were investigated under anhydrous state. TGA showed that the samples are thermally stable up to approximately 250oC. The proton conducting properties were investigated with impedance spectroscopy. Toxicity and biocompability properties were investigated for biomedical applications.
