Ryan Dirkx

What are technology / solution areas that you have a primary interest in?

Innovative technology is a lifeblood for our company, not only a source of growth, but also a driver of progress and performance for our customers.  Emerging global trends create needs for exemplary material advancements in broad platforms; such as, renewable raw materials, chemicals and polymers to enable alternative energy, water treatment solutions, printed and flexible electronics, light-weight materials such as composites, and green building adhesives and materials for future smart houses, respectively.  We believe advancements in these broad platforms can make a positive societal impact while helping to grow our company.

What level of commercial maturity do you typically look for in technology partnerships?

We have successful collaborations at all maturity levels.

Please describe your company’s innovation model and how this model helps to find new innovations.

What we find more important than commercial maturity is that we identify a complementary aspect or synergy in the potential partnership.  We are more interested in finding collaborations where we bring something that will help advance the partner’s move to successful commercialization.

Why work with TechConnect and the National Innovation Summit as a technology prospector? Who are you looking to meet with?

We are hoping to identify companies that have active and novel developments complementary to ours and perhaps related to the innovation platforms described above.  Through discussion, we hope to identify synergies with potential collaborators worthy of follow up.
