North Carolina's Piedmont Triad Partnership Achieves Commitments of $1M+ Annually To Cluster Development

The Partnership surpasses its goal of raising the initial $5M to support industry development, including nanotechnology

The funds were raised through its "Clusters of Opportunity" campaign, which successfully received commitments from more than 30 companies, organizations and other investors that currently total $1.3 million per year. If the funding can be maintained during the period, this will provide more than $6 million to the Piedmont Triad Partnership’s economic development efforts over the next five years. The four segments identified by the Partnership include Advanced Manufacturing (which includes bionanotechnology and nanotechnology), Creative Enterprises and the Arts, Health Care, and Logistics and Distribution.
