Minnesota Looks to Create New Regional Nanotech Initiative

NanoVox would include parts of the Midwest US and Canada; goals include bringing more federal funding to the region for nano-company growth and job creation.

MN Nano, a non-profit developed to boost nanotech job growth in Minnesota, is backing the charge to create NanoVox. NanoVox would become a matchmaker by bringing together researchers and entrepreneurs in nanotechnology to improve information sharing and idea exchanging in nanoscale R&D and commercialization. So far, NanoVox has raised funds from the university and business communities, and are seeking to hire a technology matchmaker this year.
