University of Tokyo and Rigaku Corporation establish Industry-Academia Collaboration Center in Japan

Rigaku is one of the global leaders in analytical and industrial instrumentation technology

The Center will work to further establish X-ray diffraction as a leading measurement technology by putting the latest technology by Rigaku at the fingertips of the researchers. The Institute of Engineering Innovation at the University of Toyko conducts R&D in the design and characterization of new materials, and relies on various X-ray techniques in analyzing the relationship between atomic level structure and functional characteristics. One of the missions of the Center is to increase education in the area of nanotechnology by providing students and researchers state of the art instrumentation. Both the University of Tokyo and Rigaku plan to open the Center up to additional universities in Asia and around the world to utilize the new laboratory.
