BAE Systems Supports Competition for High School Teams to Encourage Science, Technology, Engineering

BAE will sponsor the FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Championship competition in Georgia April 17-19.
Close to 350 high school level teams will compete in the event this year. The competition is open to the public and there is no charge for the event. BAE Systems contributes more than $1 million each year to FIRST, and is sponsoring 23 of the high school teams. FIRST was created by inventor Dean Kamen in 1989 to encourage young people to take an interest in science and technology.
