Fortune 500 corporations, universities, and young companies will present at the largest marketplace for emerging technologies in the US.

The 2009 TechConnect Summit will take place May 4-6, 2009 at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas. Held in conjunction with the NSTI Nanotech and CleanTechnology conferences, we are expecting thousands of business, academic, and investment attendees from more than 70 countries.

This year’s TechConnect Summit will feature:

Corporate Partnering Presentations
One of the annual highlights of the Summit program are the exclusive presentations from Fortune 500 companies. Companies present their technology and investment areas of interest in clean technology, nanotechnology, or the life sciences. Each of the speakers is interested in either investment or collaboration opportunities with attendees. Confirmed speakers for next month include:

IP and Company Presentations
TechConnect’s IP and Venture/Company Forums provide universities and early-stage companies a unique platform to present their technologies or business plans to the technology business and investment communities. These Sessions encourage academia-industry partnerships and provide access to unique funding opportunities.

Each IP and Venture presenter will give a 10 minute presentation to the attendees. Each presenter receives enhanced visibility for their technology or business and access to potential corporate & funding partners. Presenters and attendees benefit from a program that is dedicated to promoting emerging technologies and promising young companies utilizing emerging technologies for market penetration.

Presenting institutions and early stage companies represent more than 20 US states and 16 countries. Partial list includes: MIT, Univalor-Canada, ETH Zurich-CH, Danfoss Ventures-Denmark, NASA, ENEA-Italy, Brookhaven National Laboratory, Science & Technology Center-Ukraine, University of Minnesota, University of Geneva-CH, University of Texas at Arlington, DiscoveryBioMed, Bee Dance, Angstron Materials, ClearValue, and many others!
