Please join academic and corporate leaders who are interested in growing and expanding the value of partnering between the sectors at the next UIDP meeting. This event is scheduled for April 16-8, 2013 on the campus of Caltech and the current agenda (with confirmed speakers) is now posted on the UIDP website (www.uidp.org). I would note a few sessions that may be of specific interest to you:• Caltech and JPL Overviews – if you would like to learn more about how one of the world’s leading research universities, then I encourage you to attend the pre-general meeting event on Tuesday morning. We will also be visiting JPL on Wednesday and learning more about their partnering strategies.
• Panels on Corporate Strategies for High Value University Engagement, New approaches to managing and building alliances and catalyzing commercialization, Why Invest in Universities?, and Successful approaches to university initiated innovation.
• UIDP Project Working Sessions - looking at issues such as conflict of interest, federal flow down clauses, researcher exchanges and the data use agreements.
The UIDP is an organization dedicated to advancing collaborations between the sectors, and we encourage you to participate this semi-annual event in beautiful Pasadena!
