Companies to Present in Honolulu at Asia Pacific Clean Energy Summit, August 13-15
From over 250 global applicants spanning the energy spectrum, 17 organizations with the most promising military-related technologies will present to a panel of officials including U.S. Pacific Command (PACOM), U.S. Army, U.S Navy, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Department of Energy, U.S. Department of Agriculture, and U.S. Army Corp of Engineers.
The upcoming Asia Pacific Clean Energy Summit (APCES) is a forum that brings together industry and government energy leaders to exchange ideas, showcase exciting technology companies, and build lasting partnerships to solve critical energy problems. In all aspects of the Summit, active collaboration can be found between federal, state, and military agencies, defense and infrastructure contractors, energy providers, project developers, and energy solution providers.
The Department of Defense recognizes the important role energy plays in the U.S.’ national security. Aggressive energy reduction and alternative energy supply initiatives are already in place. This year’s Defense Energy Technology Challenge winners represented a wide range of organizations and solution types, including: energy efficiency, biofuels, HVAC, solar, transportation, smart grid, microgrid, and energy storage.

The DETC winning organizations will attend Asia Pacific Clean Energy Summit (http://ct-si.org/events/APCE2012/) in Honolulu on August 13 - 15 and present their technologies in a quick pitch session to the Department of Defense partners, as well as energy industry professionals, investors, utilities, and corporate strategic groups. Following the presentations on August 13, the companies and conference attendees will attend a Defense Energy Technology Challenge Reception and Showcase. Presenting companies and additional invited applicants will have display areas to highlight their technology solutions.
